DVCP Internships
Internship Process
Process to Enroll in a Digital Video & Cinema Production (DVCP) Internship
If you would like to register for FLMC 2280 (cooperative/internship), you cannot do it on your own. It requires the permission of the instructor or program coordinator to be registered. Here is a sample syllabus for the course; review the Course Requirements, so you’ll know what is expected of you during the internship.
Want to know the steps to get enrolled in FLMC 2280 (aka, DVCP internship)?
Starting in the semester before you want to do the internship...
- Ensure you meet the requirements (see below); send your transcript to:
nvc-dvcp@ozone-1.com
bmauser@ozone-1.com
nsantos@ozone-1.com - Review the list of employers (see below); contact those you'd like to work with to secure a placement within the timeframe of the school term when you plan to do the internship. Make sure you have an employer's commitment to hire you before proceeding.
- Submit the DVCP Internship Request Form (link below). Wait for an email telling you whether your request has been approved. If/once your request has been approved, you will get an email link to the Statement of Understanding (SOU). Forward this email to the employer that agreed to hire you. The employer (not you) must fill out the SOU.
- Once we receive the SOU from the employer, you can then be added to the course FLMC 2280.
- If you would like to participate in the Alamo on the Job (AOTJ) program, all 4 of the above steps must be completed first. The AOTJ program is separate from DVCP and requires its own paperwork from students and employers. This should be started early in the semester before your intended semester of internship to allow for extra processing time. For more info, contact dst-studentjobs@ozone-1.com.
